After joining Intermedix in 2012, as a vice president of strategy, business development and analytics, Wailes played an instrumental role in many strategic growth initiatives, expanding the organization’s international presence and establishing a new business unit serving office-based physicians. In his new role, Wailes will lead operations, client services and business development for all physician specialties.
“To address the unique needs of physicians during this period of industry transition, it was important to find a leader who possessed a comprehensive understanding of the evolving health care industry,” said Intermedix CEO Joel Portice. “Kyle’s innovative approach to physician strategy and population health, and his proven record of success, make him a strong advocate for our physician clients.“
Before joining Intermedix, Wailes was a member of the global health care investment banking team at Citigroup. Wailes graduated from Brown University with a degree in pre-medicine and neuroscience and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
“I look forward to leading our health care efforts and providing our clients with the best technology and services so that they can focus on practicing medicine,” said Wailes. “Through the use of advanced data analytics, we are poised to equip providers with industry-leading practice management and revenue cycle management services and tools that will measurably improve health care quality across the continuum of care.”
The Intermedix physician services division supports 12 million patient encounters each year. The division supports more than 9,000 providers with revenue cycle management, practice management, data analytics and technology solutions.
