ABOUT The Matrix
In September of 2016 the Department of Health and Human Services released the national preparedness requirements called the Final Rule. The 651-long documents goal is to assist all 17 facility types with CMS requirements for disaster preparedness. Intermedix set out to deliver suppliers and providers a condensed five-page view including the primary areas of plan development and compliance for Emergency Preparedness.
When reviewing the final rule, we determined the key demands for each one of the 17 provider types identified by CMS in the following four categories:
- Emergency Plan
- Policies & Procedures
- Communications Plan
- Training & Testing
Download our Development Planning and Compliance Matrix on the CMS Emergency Preparedness Final Rule to determine the areas in which your facility is compliant, as well as define the gaps that need to be improved upon by the November 16, 2017 deadline.
